Southern Legitimacy Statement: I am a true blue Southern Belle. But more like the Tom-boy Elly Mae Clampett was. Roamed the creeks and woods. But to get to those special places, I had to have a face off with Paw’s mean-ass mule, Jane. She’s the very reason I learned to climb a tree. She caught me crossing into HER pasture and immediately started snorting and stomping and charged towards me just after I climbed under the barbed-wire fence. And I shot up the closest tree. I consider this my rites of passage. Snipe hunting too.
A True Short Tale and Certainly Not Tall
Living in the South, I’ve heard many stories from tall tales, fish tales, strange tales and even things beyond belief. Yes, I even find myself surrounded with paranormal things. Reports of The Grey Man in Pawley’s Island and folklore about a Lizard Man seen in the Ore Swamp in Lee County. And the reports of The Third-Eye Man dating back to 1949 seen by students in the tunnels forcing the University of South Carolina to eventually seal these catacombs in the name of protections. And the rumors of Big Foot in the Appalachian Mountains. But given the size of some of those big ole harry football players, I think it’s just one of those mountain boys out in the woods leaving his huge bare footprints while seeking a private place to simply take a dump.
However, what about events that happened all around you? Things you heard of and thought it was some wild tale and chose not to believe it. As for my story, I’m referring to the UFO sightings of Cherokee County that happened during the early seventies. But those sightings disappeared by February of 1975 according to the Gaffney Ledger in which the headline read, “Where Happened to the UFO’s?” So, this tale is documented. And at that time, I was a junior at Blacksburg High School when the fury of stories spread about these sightings. During this period teenagers had few choices for recreation and entertainment. The price of gas was very low, thirty-three cent per gallon as I recall, so we often borrowed our parents cars and just rode around. Really just like the scenes from the movies such as American Graffiti simply riding the strip in fast cars and now classic cars. So, I had my mother’s 1972 Gran Torino and a couple of my high school girls friend went cruising.
We grew bored checking out the guys on the strip and one of us brought up the recent UFO sightings in our area. I lived very close to the Kings Mountain National Military Park in a very rural part of Cherokee County. So, I came up with the hair-brained idea suggesting we ride through this dark secluded area. My home bordered the park and one of my neighbor’s had recently reported seeing a flying saucer hovering above her car. Her car died and she screamed loud enough for someone to hear her. And the individual who came to her aid claimed that the craft just darted away. But I never believed this tale. Mass hysteria. People wanting attention. However, we three girls ventured into the darkness. My best friend, Sheila sat in the front seat as I drove. And other friend, Denise in the back seat but grew frightened as we entered the dark road leading through the black of night. No lights other that my head lights. No other cars were on this road except mine. Sheila and I were talking spooky crap to frighten our backseat passenger. It was supposed to just be a teenage prank.
As predicted Denise screamed and Sheila and I started laughing. But Denise pointed up telling us to look at the lights. I brushed it off as lights from an airplane headed to then Douglass Airport in Charlotte. We all had a good laugh, and I took them home. However, I continued to hear more stories. One classmate told a tale that she came to a stop sign on a road at an intersection very close to the park. She swore she looked up and swore she immediately found herself inside a spacecraft witnessing her car still going down the road. Still not convinced it was not anything real happening, I brushed it off thinking she was high on something and not by being in the spacecraft.
A few months later, I was with a group of teenagers playing softball in an open field at the end of a dirt road. A place off the main parkway road. I don’t remember who yelled to run, but a lot of guys and gals witnessed the lights coming through the woods towards us. It was daylight and I couldn’t make out exactly what they were. Could have been flashlights or even lanterns. But didn’t look exactly like either. Panicked, we scrambled and got out of there in a nano second. I was just confused and had no theories at the time. But a few weeks later, I saw evidence firsthand. At least I thought maybe I had. Since we lived in such a rural part of Cherokee county, the school bus picked the kids in my area up first, like predawn. And there were many winding dirt roads curving around the park. The bus driver turned on a road facing the sunrise and I saw a silhouette of a what appeared to be a craft dropping down below the tree lines very close to where we had played softball. I blinked my eyes. From the distance I was, it appeared to be an inch in diameter. And visible enough to watch the slow descent until it disappearing into the into the tall trees. It was just has the sun had risen, so the shadowy image was faint. I thought back to the night my friends and I saw those lights above us. And I surmised those were just too low to have been an incoming flight because the airport was over thirty miles away.
Then a week later, a man disappeared close in my tiny area and since has never been found. He had purchased an acre in my vicinity, also very close to the park. His plans were to put a mobile home on his wooded lot and later build a home. But after digging his well and septic tank, he simply vanished. Something also interesting is gold. In the early twentieth century there were gold mines located throughout the surrounding property before the United States purchased it during Roosevelt’s Administration. An act that led to the creation of many national parks throughout the United States. And the reason I knew about the early gold mining is because my great grandmother told me to be careful walking through the woods because there were many abandoned mines that filled with water and were just left uncovered. And some were marked by planks laying on top of the holes.
Fast forward to the present. Of course, I’ve been I saw intrigued with UAPs ever since that time period. So, what have I learned over the years? It has been long rumored that the extraterrestrials came to our planet to mine gold. And sightings of weird lights are reported near UAP sightings. Turns out those weird lights emerging through the trees that day while playing ball with friends, could have plasma crafts often used to open portals. As to gold also in the park, the Ufologist have claimed for years, Aliens came to our planet to mine this treasure. And my disappearing neighbor could have been at the wrong place and wrong time just like myself and friends playing softball that day. Or possible fell into one of those uncovered mines. Currently with modern technologies, a group of scientists have found two such vortexes and have computer generated the cone shape images at Skinwalker Ranch in Uniah County, Utah. As well as the inverted V shape extended rooftop image at Bradshaw Ranch in Sedona, Arizona. Both are located in the desert regions of Arizona. These scientists cite that a vortex is cold teleportation and non-ordinary matter. Also known as Stealth plasma or dark mode plasma. Hence these plasma crafts are responsible for connecting our world with theirs. About ten years ago the Pope revealed the existence of the UFO phenomenon. I was shocked that even the Catholics had hidden knowledge dating back for how long regarding this matter. Which prompted me to find out how far back. My search for the first sighting goes back to 1450 BC according to my research in Wikipedia. This reference site stated. “After conquering the ancient Nubian city of Napata, Thutmose III had a stele erected at the Temple of Amun, beneath the Jebel Barka outcropping. The stele describes how a ‘star came down’ to set fire to Thutmose’s’ adversaries.”
Yes, it hard to believe something so unbelievable. Information cited is not considered junk science. True story? I believe what I saw and experienced, too many other people were there. Or maybe a delusional case of imagination. Tall Tale? I think not. However, only time will tell. And for now—Believe it. Or not!
